Sri. Vakada Vijaya Kumar, a sanitation worker from Butchayyapeta Mandal, has been working as a sweeper in the Vaddadi Gram Panchayat for the past 15 years. He is known for his dedication and sincerity in his work, always going above and beyond to ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of his community.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Vijaya Kumar's humanity shone through in his selfless actions to help those in need. He not only performed his duties as a sanitation worker, but also went above and beyond to feed and transport COVID-positive patients to the hospital, even when others were too afraid to leave their homes. He went out of his way to search for an elderly lady who went missing from a quarantine center and provided care and assistance to many other patients during this difficult time.
